Our location: The East End Endeavour is berthed at Ardrossan's Clyde Marina, so is ideally located to offer you a range of cruises to destinations throughout the beautiful West of Scotland. Widely regarded as a top sailing location, the West Coast boasts spectacular scenery, flora and wildlife, a wealth of history and archaeology, and vibrant culture.
Short sail destinations are located within the River Clyde, Clyde Estuary and Firth of Clyde. They include the Isles of Arran, Bute and Little and Greater Cumbrae; the Kyles of Bute; Loch Long and the Holy Loch.
Longer cruises could enable you to sail to the Atlantic Islands of Argyll, such as Gigha, Coll and Tiree; the Small Isles, like Eigg and Canna; or the Western Isles, such as Skye and perhaps even as far off as St Kilda! East End Endeavour has sailed to these places and many more since the late 1970s.
Marine life around the West Coast and islands is abundant: porpoises and seals are spotted frequently and you might also be lucky enough to see dolphins, basking sharks and even minke or pilot whales. Commonly seen birds include gannets and cormorants, but keep your eyes peeled for sea eagles, golden eagles and puffins too.
Activity choices to suit everyone are ample in the West Coast. You could soak in the breathtaking scenery by cycling round Cumbrae or climbing Goatfell on Arran; or discover the area's rich cultural heritage by taking a tour around Mount Stuart House on Bute or exploring Mull’s Duart and Torosay Castles. You could also sample the finest Islay and Jura malt whiskies, plan your trip around one of the area’s many arts festivals and events, or make a peaceful overseas pilgrimage to Iona Abbey. At the end of a day’s sailing, you could savour the local cuisine, wind down with a walk or sit back, listen to live music and enjoy the local crack!
